You did it! You just became a dad! You can celebrate now; however, you have only taken the first step to fatherhood. The next thing you must do is focus on being a great dad. You will learn how to be your child's hero. Never abandon your kids. If you do, they will probably lose all respect and admiration for you. Once someone becomes a father, he must remain committed to being there for his children every day.

If you make good money, you can buy your child the things he craves and inspire him to grow up to be like you.
It is a necessity for you to be a man of courage. You will surely impress your kid if you handle most troubling situations with bravery. Be a teacher to your child. You can become her hero by teaching her right from wrong, the facts of life and how to do things. It is important to look after your kid's best interests. You can do this by disciplining her and meting out punishment when necessary. Whether it is now or later, you will score points with her by making sure she stays on the right track.
Be involved in your child's life. Have concern for his well being and take an interest in what he does. You will become your kid's hero by serving as a role model. Be a dad who lives and governs through moral and family values. Obey the law. You will likely impress your kid by avoiding a life of crime and staying out of jail.
